Robert L. Preston, founder of Preston Automotive, put his dreams of owning an automobile dealership to reality in 1989. With the backing of his father, Preston purchased a well-known Toyota dealership in New Castle, PA. From that modest beginning, Preston oversaw the rapid expansion of his business.
Today, Robert L. Preston has seven dealerships located in Pennsylvania and Ohio with eleven franchises. Recognizing the importance of giving back to the community that has supported him, Bob and his wife Joanne Preston have become two of New Castle’s most visible benefactors. Bob chaired the capital campaign that raised $3.7 million to build the Preston Chambers Y Zone. Bob and Joanne personally gave $600,000 to the project. They are also strong supporters of United Way, the Salvation Army and the YMCA.
